My husband and I
visited our son in Willimantic, Connecticut, in July. He took us for a short walk
on a local woodland trail. It was too hot for a long hike. We enjoyed seeing the
familiar scenery since we lived in Connecticut when we first met years ago.
The photo at the top
shows the view from a rock on the summit of a hill.
The woods have many outcrops of rock like the one in the image above.
This trail passed several
wet patches and this pond with waterlilies. The waterlilies had red flowers,
although the flowers are difficult to see in the photos.
